Poštovana gospođo Zora Prlić i Obitelj

Poštovana gospođo Zora Prlić i Obitelj,

Poštovana gospođo Zora Prlić, u ime Kanadsko-hrvatskog kongresa KHK i moje osobno, u ovim tužnim i bolnim trenucima dijelimo Vašu bol i izražavamo duboku sućut! Naše misli i molitve su uz Vas i Vašu Obitelj! Neka mu je lagana gruda Kanadske zemlje i počivao nam u miru Božjem.

Croatian duo Nikola Mektic and Mate Pavic added a Grand Slam title to a dominant season by defeating Marcel Granollers of Spain and Horacio Zeballos of Argentina in the men’s doubles final at Wimbledon.

The top-seeded pair won 6-4, 7-6 (5), 2-6, 7-5 in a match played under the roof on Centre Court.

They had a first match point at 5-4 in the fourth set then converted their second to break Granollers’ serve in the final game.

It is the eighth title this season for Mektic and Pavic, in their first year as a pair.

Pavic also won the Australian Open in 2018 and the U.S. Open last year with different partners. It was Mektic’s first Grand Slam title.

Canada Day

Ivan,

Today, my family and I are celebrating Canada Day.

The Canada that I know is a diverse, inclusive, and welcoming country.

It’s important that we celebrate our country’s accomplishments, as we also reflect on historical injustices.

When some municipalities across the country reject this legacy by cancelling their Canada Day celebrations, I disagree.

Canada Day is a time to acknowledge all the sacrifices that have made Canada what it is today.

It is this ongoing effort to make a better nation that makes Canada the best nation. We can be proud that so many fleeing persecution or discrimination choose Canada as their home. We remain a beacon of hope and opportunity.

We celebrate Canada Day because there is no other place we would rather be.

I encourage you to watch my video on the importance of celebrating Canada Day, and I hope you have a fun, safe holiday with your family.

Happy Canada Day!

Sincerely,

Kevin Falcon
