Croatian duo Nikola Mektic and Mate Pavic added a Grand Slam title to a dominant season by defeating Marcel Granollers of Spain and Horacio Zeballos of Argentina in the men\u2019s doubles final at Wimbledon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The top-seeded pair won 6-4, 7-6 (5), 2-6, 7-5 in a match played under the roof on Centre Court.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

They had a first match point at 5-4 in the fourth set then converted their second to break Granollers\u2019 serve in the final game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is the eighth title this season for Mektic and Pavic, in their first year as a pair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pavic also won the Australian Open in 2018 and the U.S. Open last year with different partners. It was Mektic’s first Grand Slam title.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
