{"id":175,"date":"2021-07-10T20:40:54","date_gmt":"2021-07-10T20:40:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/crocc.org\/?p=175"},"modified":"2023-02-22T23:56:28","modified_gmt":"2023-02-22T23:56:28","slug":"canada-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/crocc.org\/hr\/canada-day\/","title":{"rendered":"Canada Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ivan,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, my family and I are celebrating Canada Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Canada that I know is a diverse, inclusive, and welcoming country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s important that we celebrate our country\u2019s accomplishments, as we also reflect on historical injustices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When some municipalities across the country reject this legacy by cancelling their Canada Day celebrations, I disagree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Canada Day is a time to acknowledge all the sacrifices that have made Canada what it is today.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is this ongoing effort to make a better nation that makes Canada the best nation. We can be proud that so many fleeing persecution or discrimination choose Canada as their home.
